I challenge all of my students to a friendly note reading competition! To participate, you will need the 'Note Rush' app. Visit www.noterushapp.com for details. It is available on iPhone, iPad, Android and Kindle Fire. Note Rush is made by Thomas Grayston, a software developer, pianist, and husband to a piano teacher. I am not affiliated with Mr. Grayston in any way... I just think this app is a really fun way to develop confidence in note reading.
I have made custom levels for piano, guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar. To load a level, open the app, click on the number or pencil icon at the bottom left, click on "Level Designer", open the scan function, and scan the QR code below for the level you wish to practice. Also, please click on the gear icon at the bottom right and turn off "Penalize Incorrect Guesses".
If you have a new record (fastest time), take a screenshot or photo to send to me showing your time! I will publish the names of the record-holders on this page (along with a photo of you, if you wish).
