*Important update: I have gone back to school starting in September 2024 to begin a Master of Music (Piano) degree at the University of Alberta. As a result, my teaching hours have been reduced. However, I will be accepting students for summer lessons (May-August 2025) as well as next school year (September 2025 - May 2026). Priority will be given to current students.

If you would like to register, please fill out the form here and I will be in touch with more details.
Please indicate which summer program you are interested in.
If you have previously filled out the form, just send me an email to let me know that you are interested!

Summer Lessons

Rates for private lessons are:
  • 30-minute lesson - $47
  • 45-minute lesson - $65
  • 60-minute lesson - $80
Rates for group lessons are:
  • 30-minute lesson - $30/student
  • 45-minute lesson - $41/student
  • 60-minute lesson - $49/student
For families with more than one person taking lessons, fees will be calculated at $80/hour. For example, if two people have 30-minute lessons back-to-back, the fee for the day will be $80, not $94.
Lessons are scheduled at mutually convenient times between May 1 and August 31, 2025.
Available times on the calendar are subject to change.

You will be provided with access to an online calendar with my available teaching times in the summer, and you can choose as many lesson dates/times as you would like. To access the calendar, you first need to fill out the registration form. If you have previously filled out the form, there is no need to do so again.

Lesson times must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.

Full payment is due by the first lesson of the summer term (for as many lessons as you have booked in the calendar). Additional lessons may be booked, subject to availability.

I live in Camrose, AB, and will travel to your home for lessons. A mileage charge (72¢ per kilometre each way from the Camrose city limit) applies for lessons outside of Camrose.

My policy for missed/cancelled lessons and make-up lessons is here.

Dragon Quest - Composition Camp

*Dragon Quest 2025 is nearly full. There may be room for one or two more students.*

Age: 7-12 years old

No prior experience is required.

Music is magic and you must compose in order to complete the quests laid out before you! We will work together to create original music to accompany "The Dragon Quest" story, using Ben Ereddia's book as a guide. His website with more details is here. There will be a performance for parents on August 28, 2025.

This camp will be a fun and engaging introduction to composing music and writing it on the page. The simple challenges will help to solidify an understanding of the basic elements of music notation and establish a foundational understanding of the steps to writing music. We will experiment with many different instruments.

Location: Erik's house (near Main Street, Camrose)
Dates: August 25-28, 2025 (Monday to Thursday)
Time: 1:00-4:00 p.m. each day
Cost: $210 each (includes the cost of a personal copy of the story/work book; book 2 is here!)
(minimum 5 students to go ahead with the class)
